This Swaledale piano was built in 2024 using special heritage figured British oak. This, and many other wood choices (also ebony black) are available for this piano.
The Cavendish Swaledale is British built to the highest standards using a full Renner action as used by the world’s most prestigious pianos (Steinway, Bosendorfer etc.). Perhaps that’s one reason this piano won “Best Piano” category in the prestigious Music Industry Association’s awards. With a warm, mellow tone it is a heritage quality British masterpiece.
English oak has a balanced tone with warm midrange overtones and clear high-end. It offers good projection and is notably versatile for a variety of different musical styles.
All three of the “true” oak species are not listed in the CITES Appendices.
