Hand-crafed in the Yorkshire Dales, the Cavendish Wharfedale 132 model is the jewel in the crown of the Cavendish range. An “upright grand” with a soundboard size and string length greater than many grand pianos. With a powerful yet mellow English tone this piano is perhaps the ultimate upright piano. The Wharfedale is built with a full Renner action and Kluge keyboard as used by such makers as Steinway, Bosendorfer and Bechstein. The case of model pictured is cabinate-maker built from solid wild English oak. Any type of construction wood is available on request (standard English oak, Pippy oak, mahogany, walnut, beech etc.) or, of course, polished ebony. Any colour is also available and we use Farrow and Ball in matt or polished finishes.
The innovative soundboard is crafted from solid spruce and occupies the entire case size (with no cut offs) this maximises the tonal potential of the piano and gives a playing experience second to none.
