Why Choose Petrof?

It is generally agreed that the pinnacle of piano production is European. By this we mean the very best (and most expensive) pianos are German. It is however often overlooked that in neighbouring Czech Republic, Petrof have been building pianos with the same components to the same standards as the German brands for 160 years. Indeed, prestigious German makers also manufacture in Czech republic where costs are lower.

So, if you are looking for the very best in pianos at almost half the price of the German equivalent, Petrof is the answer. The sweet, mellow tone and warm bass speaks for itself. Coupled with the Renner action as used in all German pianos (Steinway, Bluthner, Bechstein etc.) the touch is as perfect as is gets.

Petrof

Although not widely known in the UK, Petrof are Europe’s largest piano manufacturer. They are also the number one selling European piano in USA. Petrof are a Czech company dating back to 1864. Unlike so many other makers, they are still fully in the hands of the Petrof family. A true family business headed up by Suzanna Petrof, they produce superb European pianos.

At Yorkshire Pianos we have been selling Petrof for over twenty years and know their pianos inside out. We have visited their factory many times (an impressive facility surrounded by beautiful countryside) and have been overwhelmingly impressed by their production methods, materials and standards. Because we tune and look after our pianos year-on-year after selling them, we know that they are totally reliable, keep their tuning exceptionally well and increase in value over time.

The Storm model is of a size and quality to satisy the most demanding of pianists and, in our opinion, an optimal size for home use.
